The 1988 debut album of the Primitives was a bunch of tracks from singles over the previous 2 years.  For whatever reason, I didn't really hear them until this came out and the song "Spacehead" won me over with a late 80's Brit-buzzsaw with sweet female vocals and a sha-la-la-la-la chorus.    In fact, there's only another song, "I'll Stick With You" that comes close to that level.

"Crash" was the single and that's probably the 3rd best track for me and "Way Behind Me" was the other memorable hit.  I can't remember if my copy had it or not now that it went out in the mail.  I sure knew that song to death.

The rest were a bit more pleasant background.  "Shadow" is a cool sitar n' strings number that only the British could be trusted with in the major label realm.  That one out psychedelifies almost anything that time.  "Thru The Flowers" sounds like a slightly more polished take on twee pop of New Zealand and the British underground.  "Dreamwalk Baby" nicks Violent Femmes "Blister in the Sun" in such a way, only the hardest of hearts can be mortally offended.  The second half of the album isn't as good.

As far as the right-of-Creation genre goes, this may very well be the best of the lot.
