Perky indie with commercial production.  A nice scream here and there, but overall annoying.  I bought this in Kim’s dollar used cd rack out of curiosity for a Matador Records band I never heard sometime in the late aughts.

The level of annoying is atmospheric.  One member was from Pretty Girls Make Graves earlier in the decade, a band whose only recollection I have seeing them live was that a friend of mine renamed them in a disparaging manner that made me laugh.  Leader Cody Vololato and the drummer came from the Blood Brothers, who made it to the V2 label.  I ignored them completely.

And after this short reprieve, I hope to forever ignore Jaguar Love as well.
